Converters
Measuring converters transform one type of signal to another (with a specified accuracy). Signal sources can include resistance from a Pt100 temperature sensor, mV voltage from a J thermocouple, 0...100mA current, 0...30V voltage, 0...200Hz pulses from an encoder, potentiometer, etc. Using an appropriate transducer allows these signals to be converted to a standard analog industrial automation signal (0-10V, 4-20mA, etc.), allowing them to be input to a PLC for further analysis.
The converters have galvanic isolation between the input, output, and power supply circuits, which additionally protects sensitive circuits (e.g., industrial computer, PLC controller card) against surges and lightning strikes and reduces the impact of object interference.
